- Professional dancers, established choreographers, industry experts, and dance organizations debate critical matters about Dance Realities.
- NQB8 Stage (pronounced Incubate) is a stage for Dance Artists to do one of 3 things: Try ideas, get feedback or gain new fans. This Toronto Dance Showcase will feature both local choreographers & local companies and will be followed by a Q&A & audience comments session.
- DNA Decoded: If time permits you will get to witness a live choreographic session with Apolonia & Ofilio (GADFLY). See how and why Gadfly does the kind of work they create. TBC, Finger crossed!
This Event is Free and is particularly Sponsored by Gadfly and The Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists Ontario (CADA-ON).
We concocted a Hip Hop choreo competition a la Gadfly. 7 crews & teams will have a shot at a $2000 contract to perform on the award-wining theatrical stage known as TUDS Urban Dance Culture Festival. No international judge will be brought in to be put on a pedestal here. 5 choreographers from the competition will sit on the judging panel to up & unite our scene based on 5 clear ingredients: One-of-a-kindness, Panache, Technique, Arsenal, & Unforgettability.

We got you a dance choreo competition where all styles of dance are welcome, where Canadian choreographers are spotlighted, and where the most important thing is YOU, the audience. We set a stage for the wildest, most intricate, and illest movement performance imaginable under a microscopic 5 minutes. In less time than it takes you to post a selfie on Instagram each crew has to do this for you:
- Convey story, theme or world.
- Demonstrate a solid range of dance techniques.
- Make you feel something unique
5 crews & teams will have a shot at a Money prize and a contract to perform on the award-wining theatrical stage known as TUDS Urban Dance Culture Festival.
Also happening this same time is the Skills x Soul Battles Qualifiers. You get to see dancers go all in a 2 vs 2 format to try to get the last two spots for the main stage battles on Sunday.
